About this site
I'm a photographer based in Vienna and Tokyo. My interest in photography is not limited by any genre or technique. Recently, however, my main focus has been on capturing moments and impressions during my travels.
For me, photography is a way to interact with the world through technology. How is technology changing the way we perceive and think?
Even though the camera today is a highly sophisticated machine (or more like a computer in the case of the digital camera), it allows us to capture very subjective moods and atmospheres.
I imagine the photographic process to be turned inward, into my self, rather than producing a simple copy of what is perceived in the outside world. As a result, the images you see here are often grainy, out of focus, or maybe even boring.
Most of the time, the images are arranged in small series that create a rhythm, a story without words. Imagine the flow of impressions you experience during a slow walk through your neighborhood, and how those impressions slowly change over time as they get mixed up in your messy collection of memories.
